Why choose fibre over copper?  There can be several reasons, it may be the distance, the security factors, the low maintenance and just ensuring continued communication between buildings and cabs.  The ever-growing demands for higher speeds and bandwidth over distances lends itself to being the preferred option in many environments today, to use as the backbone on a large campus, within data centres or for IT Cab’s in separate buildings, and for any site where the distance is over 90m which is the limit for copper cabling.
